What inspired you to start travel nursing?
I wanted to go travel because I wanted to see what was out there! I was ready to learn different ways of being a labor and delivery nurse and see new places and hospitals.

What is your biggest piece of advice to fellow clinicians interested in starting their travel journey?
My biggest advice would be to make sure that you are very comfortable in your clinical practice. Traveling is great but it is also very challenging. You really have to know what you’re doing and be very self-confident. You have to believe in yourself and trust yourself otherwise no one else will.

What has been your favorite part about working in the Philadelphia area?
I love being in Philly because I’m from here! I got to do a local contract here and it was my favorite. It was great being close to home but also being able to grab food in the city and see my friends!

What has been your most memorable experience as a travel nurse?
I had the best delivery with a midwife while on a travel assignment. It was chaotic and beautiful, and I still talk about it.

What has been the best part about working with Mader MedX?
The best part of working with Mader MedX is the friendships I have developed. This team is the absolute best group of people! I have made friends that I will keep for a lifetime!
